{ Playing } some serious catchup

My oh my.

I realized today I haven't blogged Christmas, Halloween parties, Thanksgiving, or loads of other important life events.  Blogging used to be so easy, and now it feels like something is always happening I want to remember or keep track of.  I guess as I find time, those posts will start to filter in.  So stay tuned I suppose.

February has been very good to us so far.  Brian traveled to Seattle, and I stayed here wishing I was there to explore that beautiful city.  We had court and ty up for dinner one night, and Nan, court and I spent last Wednesday eating lunch at Nan's favorite place.

Our Saturdays have literally saved us too.  Between all the craziness during the week it is all we can do to drag ourselves out of bed Saturday mornings.  Thank heavens for Saturdays. Seriously.

But among all the chaos, all is well.  We are loving each new day and it's adventures as they appear.  We are happy and content.  Even if right now is one huge game of catch up :)

Happy 24th Birthday Wonderboy!

It is pretty mind boggling to think once upon a time we were 4 and 6 and that it has turned into 24 and 26.  I hardly know where the time goes sometimes.

I still remember you in your ninja turtle jammies coming to wake me up in the morning to go watch mario bros with you.  You have always made me laugh and smile.

I love that you email me songs that remind you of me, that you are always trying to make us laugh, that you are always trying to be better, that you always have something fun going on, and I love that you are so loved by others.  I love that you would rather have a barbecue at moms than go out for your birthday.

Thanks for always being so excited to see me and for giving us the biggest hugs. I have so many great memories of you and I am excited to be a part of your future ones. . .

Happy birthday little brother.  You are so loved.

{ No way I would knock at these doors. . . }

You are brave Ty. . . Way braver than me. I don't have any idea how you sell all these people on pest control! The things we do for a little $$$ I guess :)

{ Missing } this brother of mine. . .

According to my calendar Ty has been gone exactly one month. According to me it has been a month too long. But as you can tell from his pictures, it looks like he is having a blast. I am glad he is enjoying this experience to the fullest in true Ty style. I hope the next month goes super fast. We are super anxious to snug this boy again.

{ Off to Oregon }

This boy is off to Oregon for a few months to do summer sales. We already miss him like crazy and totally feel the void he has left in our home. I hope he makes tons of cash so that it is worth it! We miss you Ty!

A big { family } dinner

Elisha and Drew tied the knot! This is the night before at their large family dinner. It was super fun and my favorite kind of night! Good food and company :)

You get what you pay for.

The other night Brian and Ty were working together, and someone commented that it looked like they had the exact same haircut. They looked at each other, noticed, and started laughing. Here are the facts:

1. I cut both of their hair.
2. I am no professional.
3. I taught myself.
4. I might only know how to cut one style.
5. I am free.
5. You get what you pay for.

All facts aside I think you guys look pretty great. Even if I am just a one cut wonder :)

Bear Lake Demolition Derby

There was one time at the very end of summer that my family went up to Bear Lake alone. When I say alone, I mean just Mom, Dad, Ty, Court, me and Bri. I love it when everyone else comes too, but it was so nice to get some alone time with my family.

While we were up there we heard about a demolition derby. I had never been to one and it sounded like a fun after dinner activity so off we went!

They had all the cars lined up outside and I was surprised at how beat they all looked already. Some looked like they wouldn't run at all.

It seemed really exciting and one car even drove over another car! It was fun to watch!

Cute photos of Mi Familia!

It definitely was a rocking good time! We had so much fun I think we will be back to watch next year. . .
